The HondaTrue Certified program is divided into three categories of vehicles: HondaTrue Certified+, HondaTrue Certified, and HondaTrue Used. Each of these tiers has different requirements and different levels of coverage. That means you have even more options when you are looking for a Certified Pre-Owned model.

HondaTrue Certified+

HondaTrue Certified+ vehicles are models less than 12 months old with fewer than 80,000 miles on the odometer. As a result, you can get behind the wheel of a like-new Honda with every feature and amenity imaginable without paying the new car MSRP.

Inspection

HondaTrue Certified+ models are held to strict standards beyond their age and mileage. Every eligible Certified+ Honda must pass a comprehensive 182-point inspection and reconditioning process. During the inspection, our technicians assess every aspect of the Honda, from the owner’s manual and radio to the heater, brakes, transmission, and engine. We’ll then oversee any repairs, documenting everything in our downloadable vehicle inspection report you can access before the sale.

Warranty Coverage

Honda’s full transparency gives you the confidence to shop for a Certified Pre-Owned model, but its the warranty coverage gives you the confidence to say “yes." HondaTrue Certified+ models offer the most coverage of the tiers. They are backed by Honda’s seven-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty and a five-year/86,000-mile non-powertrain warranty. This coverage also includes access to Honda’s roadside assistance service, which is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Maintenance

Honda adds value to every HondaTrue Certified+ model by including up to two complimentary oil changes within the first 12 months of ownership. These routine services make it easy to protect and maintain your investment and minimize your out-of-pocket expenses during your first year as an owner. You can also extend this coverage with Honda Care, which includes various protection products like vehicle service contracts, oil change coverage, and prepaid maintenance coverage.

HondaTrue Certified

HondaTrue Certified models are incredibly appealing because you have more options when looking for a Honda that will meet your budget, driving, performance, and lifestyle needs. How so? Unlike HondaTrue Certified+ models, a HondaTrue Certified model must be from within the past six model years and have fewer than 80,000 miles. This broader age range is attractive because it doesn’t require you to compromise since every model must pass the same 182-point inspection and reconditioning process.

Warranty Coverage

HondaTrue Certified vehicles are backed by the same seven-year/100,000-mile powertrain coverage. However, its non-powertrain coverage varies based on the model year. For example, newer models still covered by Honda’s New Vehicle Limited Warranty see an extension of that coverage to four years/48,000 miles. In contrast, older models no longer covered by the New Vehicle Limited Warranty are protected by a 12-month/12,000-mile non-powertrain warranty, which includes access to Honda’s 24-hour roadside assistance service.

Other Perks

HondaTrue Certified and Certified+ vehicles share many of the same perks. For example, they include two complimentary oil changes within the first year and guarantee your satisfaction with Honda’s three-day exchange policy. You can also purchase a Honda Care extended protection plan and reap the benefits of trip interruption coverage and Honda’s concierge service for the first 12 months/12,000 miles.

HondaTrue Used

While most automakers limit their Certified Pre-Owned program to newer models, Honda does things a little differently and gives budget-savvy shoppers every opportunity to confidently shop for a HondaTrue Used model. These models must be less than ten years old and have no mileage limit. Honda models are known for logging thousands of miles with routine service and maintenance. HondaTrue Used vehicles capitalize on this reputation and make it possible to get behind the wheel of a used Honda without compromising quality, operability, or peace of mind.

Warranty Coverage

Every HondaTrue Used model comes with a 100-day/5,000-mile powertrain warranty and 100-day/5,000-mile non-powertrain coverage. This protection minimizes any out-of-pocket expenses during your first 100 days on the road. Like every HondaTrue Certified and Certified+ model, you can extend this coverage with a Honda Care protection plan.

You also get one complimentary oil change within the first year and access to Honda's roadside assistance, trip interruption coverage, and concierge service for the first 12 months/12,000 miles. As with every Certified Pre-Owned model, drivers have every opportunity to enjoy the ride with a 90-day trial to SiriusXM satellite radio.
