What are the Main Differences?

The biggest difference between the Honda Passport vs Pilot is that the 2022 Honda Passport has 2 rows and can seat 5, whereas the 2022 Honda Pilot is a 3rd row seating SUV that can comfortably seat up to 8. And there’s about a $4k difference between the two models when it comes to the Sport trim, with the Pilot being the more expensive model. Same goes for the Elite trim as well though the difference is $5k in regard.

Specs & Performance

Less isn’t always more when it comes to miles per gallon. Granted the 2022 Honda Passport gets 22 mpg (20 city/25 HWY) opposed to the 2022 Honda Pilot cruising in at 23 mpg (20 city/27 HWY). And while there’s only a 2-mile difference highway, it still adds up over time. That’s roughly $6 or so each time you fill-up your gas tank if you frequent the highway often.

Performance wise, both the 2022 Honda Passport and 2022 Honda Pilot boast a 3.5-liter V6 engine. And while the Passport has more of a rugged, off the beaten path aesthetic, it’s smaller and more maneuverable than the Pilot. Then again, the family-friendly Pilot, its engine specs are practically the same as the Passport when it comes to torque and horsepower.

Dimensions & Cargo Space

Which is bigger, Honda Pilot or Passport? The Passport is 1 inch taller than the Pilot, and 6 inches shorter lengthwise. The width and wheelbases are the same for both models, as for cargo space, the Pilot offers nearly double the volume!! 83.9 cubic feet to be exact, yet the Passport only offers 41.2 cubic feet.

Interior Features

The Honda Pilot vs Honda Passport interior features, one of the main differences is that the Passport has an all-new TrailSport trim level. Complete with a unique grille and front, rear fascia, the track width of the tires is 10mm wider than the other trim levels.
