2019 Honda Civic is Both the Comfortable and Sophisticated Choice for the Everett Drive

It's more than a compact car. It's a benchmark for the segment. It's the new Honda Civic, and for drivers in northern Washington, there are many reasons to love it.

There's a wide range of trims to appeal to drivers of all stripes, it's true. The LX base, for instance, is a favorite of commuters looking for a no-frills sedan to get to and from work dependably. The athletic Sport, on the other hand, speaks to the performance-inspired. The midrange EX offers many perks, which become luxury touches in the penultimate EX-L trim, and Touring comes fully loaded, of course. But where 2019 Honda Civic excels is in its comfort and technology features.

The car's seating for five, for one, incorporates a manually height-adjustable driver's seat, adjustable head restraints, and a fold-down rear seatback that comes 60/40-split in the Sport trim and later. Heated seats in front come standard in EX and later, and both front and rear seats are heated in Touring. You gain sumptuous leather trim in EX-L.

To keep you safe on the drive around the Everett area, Honda Sensing, our brand's active safety feature suite, comes standard when you step up from the base trim. It features forward-collision and lane-departure warning systems, collision and road-departure mitigation, lane-keeping assistance, and an adaptive cruise control system with a low-speed follow feature. Plus, Honda LaneWatch, which can monitor vehicles approaching on your right side, comes standard in the midrange and later trims.

For entertainment and to stay connected on the go, choose between 5- and 7-inch infotainment systems. Select models feature Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, extending smartphone connectivity to the dash. SiriusXM and HD Radio are available to provide plenty of listening options, and your favorite programming comes in loud and clear via a selection of four-, eight-, or ten-speaker audio systems. The last pumps out 450 watts and features a subwoofer. Finally, but not all, a Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System is optional, making getting between venues a matter of course.
